Our backyard
Our backyard (carport) has become the playground for Izaac and his friend. It's just wonderful. If Izaac wants to do art, his easel and tables are there. Our little playground has been such a blessings. It's really important for me to encourage that Izaacs gross motor skills can grow and that he has equipment to fully encourage this. (oh how I'd still like a brachiating ladder and beam bar)
I really wanted a trampoline for Izaac. Over christmas, Tash's partner, Ray bought their kiddies a new, bigger trampoline. So Izaac got a wonderful Christmas present from them, which he just loves and loves and loves. I cannot express how useful and stimulating a trampoline is for children. Izaac will go on it daily. On, off, on off.
Then our wonderful next door neighbours have friends. They just keep on giving Izaac hand me downs. So he has a toolset, an activity table, etc.
A lovely guy at work was looking for a home for his girls outgrown outdoor equipment. His eldest daughter has CP. So we often chat about her progress, how she got the disorder (after her 2 day old Hep B injection, by the way). Secretly in my heart I was so wanting to get Izaac a little tikes slide (he loves slides), a cubby house and a little tikes car. I couldn't believe it. Sean asked me if I wanted his girls stuff. When we went to his house, the goodies I had in my heart I so wanted to get him, where all there! I couldn't believe the gift and blessing we received. I was just so reminded that God loves to take care of the small, little secrets we have too. Plus we got an extra slide, as well. So you'll see the next round of photo's of Izaacs friends, mainly playing in his play area with all our little miracles. Oh, and of course the sandpit is there too.
